Financial Coaching for Women

You don’t have to navigate your financial struggles alone

You followed the path that we were all told to follow. You got good grades, went to college, and now you are finally in a job that pays pretty well. Great! You are thriving, right?

Then why does looking at your checking account balance make you sweat? Why does it feel like you are drowning in personal debt and student loans? Maybe you managed to pay off your credit card debt, only to have it creep right back to where it was just a few months later.

You are smart and capable in other aspects of life, but money just feels like a constant struggle. Attempting to save rarely works, and saving for retirement feels almost impossible.

Gain the skills to improve your financial life

Effectively managing your money is just like any other skill. It can be learned, but it takes effort and guidance. Because money is such a taboo topic, we are often left to figure it out on our own.  Perhaps you watched your parents with their own money struggles. Or maybe they handled their money well but never talked openly about it with you, so you didn’t learn how to actually do what they did.

It can be overwhelming trying to make good financial decisions, especially if you don’t have anyone that you feel comfortable having an open and transparent conversation about your money.

It’s hard to know what financial advice to listen to. Contributing to a 401k sounds like a smart move, but does it make sense to do that when you are struggling to pay off a credit card? A well-intentioned colleague, parent, or even a partner may offer suggestions of what you should do, but if they don’t understand your full financial picture (the reality of your account balances, debt levels, or financial anxiety), it may be anything but helpful.

Hi, I’m Sarah, a financial coach for women who were not taught how to effectively manage their money.

Financial Foundation

6-Month Program

Get the support you need to create an effective plan to achieve your goals and get your finances on track.

This program will help you:

  • Understand where your money is going. How much is coming in and going out? Which expenses are adding the most value to your quality of life? Once you understand where your money is going, you can make more informed decisions on how you want to use it.

  • Create clear goals. It’s hard to actually save more money if you aren’t clear on WHY you are doing it. Wanting to pay off debt is great, but it’s even more motivating to focus on what you will be able to add into your life once you’ve got your debt under control.

  • Identify your spending habits. What triggers you to overspend? Are there areas you mindlessly spend? Amazon? Food delivery? Or do you use retail therapy to cope with work stress?  Once you recognize your spending patterns, it becomes easier to implement beneficial changes.

  • Spend in alignment with your values. When you identify what you value most, it’s easier to ensure that you are spending your money accordingly. Don’t look for external validation of how you should be spending your money.

  • Explore your money mindset. The way you think about money effects how you interact with it. Your experiences and financial exposure as a child and young adult have shaped your perspectives.  By understanding your unique money influences you can better understand why you’ve made many of the choices you have, and then can decide if those perspectives work for you, or if you want to work on changing them.

  • Develop a plan. Reaching your goals is easier with a clear road map of what steps you need to take. Feel confident that you are prioritizing your time and efforts in the right place. Understand when it’s time to shift focus to a new priority.

  • Establish new habits. Learn effective strategies to change how you interact with money. Implement new patterns that you can maintain long-term. Make it easy for yourself to consistently make money-savvy decisions by automating your savings.
